| post what's changed your life, your outlook on life, the world, and everything. things that make you who you are. _________ things that define me, are mostly my tastes in music. the first time i heard "Proof", my favorite musician of all time. was on the school bus during 5th grade or so, my friend showed me D12's Purple Pills song, and after I heard Proof's verse.. I was hooked from then on. songs like, Forgive me and one Life made me really thing about things. in One Life, the second verse, written by Poetic, he raps about his cancer slowly and painfully killing him, and unforgeable he died 2 months after that song was released. - Spoiler:
A meaningless death made me question the meaning of life
Does my body remain at rest like when I'm sleeping at night?
Will I burn in eternal hell or will I find paradise?
Be rejected or ressurected like the body of Christ?
Is it like purgatory, the story described by the Catholics?
Or Nirvana that Buddhists honor in both theory and practice?
Like I study in my college philosophy classes
Or do my molecules and atoms travel back to the gases?
I mean, what I like to know, is where my spirit goes?
After the curtains close, on my final show?
Is there a pain it brings? Enjoy my favorite things?
Visit ancient kings? Hear the angels sing?

| Bad Religion. They made me the punkie smart-ass vandalizer, AND the intelligent under achiever that I am today. The song's meanings really made me think about certain things in life, and question the unknown not with curiosity, but with a solid backround of previous knowledge. My friend and I have memorized dozens of Bad Religion songs, and love to hear them over and over again, they never seem to grow old. They changed me so dramatically, and in so little time, I first heard them two years ago. I'll always love Bad Religion. And their band buddies, NoFX. BR4EVAR | |
